John E. Hidle
John received a BS degree in Mathematics in 1964 from Troy State College, and an MS degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1972.
John joined the consulting engineering firm of Carl T. Jones Corporation in 1997. During his 14 years with Carl T. Jones Corporation, John has concentrated primarily on the digital television transition, the focus of which is to maximize and optimize clients' broadcast facilities. Although much of John's experience has been in television, he also has extensive experience in the design, adjustment, and performance verification of AM directional antenna systems. John also has expertise to evaluate new technologies and assess their potential impact on existing communications services.
Prior to joining Carl T. Jones Corporation, John was a research scientist with Philips Laboratories, working on digital television projects and RF multi-node intelligent control systems. John also was employed by ABC as Vice President, Radio Technical Operations for seven years, and as a senior engineer by RCA Records Engineering Laboratory.
John is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and in the State of New York and a member and past President of the Association of Federal Communications Consulting Engineers (AFCCE).
